BetED.com Founders Just Narrowly Avoided Arrest in US

Gambling911.com is learning that BetED.com principals nearly entered the US and were apprehended by federal officials.  Last minute shoulder surgery stopped the process.

Well, it turns out the principals in BetED may have had little idea they were about to enter the US.

University of San Diego President Plays Down Sports Bribery Scandal

Mary Lyons, President of the University of San Diego, does not believe a recent point shaving scandal that has rocked the school’s basketball program will have any long time effect.

The USD President told the San Diego Union-Tribune Thursday: “The (sports bribery) incidents that have brought our University into the national spotlight are indeed serious, but they do not define us."

The implications are serious nonetheless.

Some Vegas Sportsbooks Saved by Last Minute Steelers Surge

Some Las Vegas sportsbooks like The M, The Venetian, Hard Rock and Tropicana made out well this Super Bowl.

“We took a ton of Steeler moneyline bets,” Sportsbook Director Mike Colbert told the Las Vegas Sun. “I expected Steeler money to come in today and it did. It was a lot more than I expected. We really tried to balance the book, but it just so happened that the Packers were much better for us.”
