‘The Gambler’ Starring Mark Wahlberg Reviews Mostly Positive: Opens Christmas Day

A remake of the 1974 film “The Gambler” arrives in theatres this Christmas Day and the reviews so far have been mostly positive.  The Mark Wahlberg starring vehicle has received around a 65% approval rate at movie review aggregator site Rotten Tomatoes.

“The Gambler” is coming and Mark Wahlberg has begun to push the film, due out December 19, that some say may result in an Oscar nomination.

‘Simpsons’ Sued for $250 Million Over ‘Goodfellas’ Character

Frank Sivero has filed a lawsuit against the long running primetime animated series "The Simpsons" claiming they based the character Louie off of his "Goodfellas" character.

The suit claims that it was Sivero who created the Louie character and, as such, he should be fully compensated.

‘The Gambler’ Trailer Released: Mark Wahlberg Film Due Out December 19

A trailer for the upcoming Mark Wahlberg film “The Gambler” surfaced across the Web on Wednesday with the film set to open in select theatres December 19.

Wahlberg reprises the role of literature professor, Jim Bennett, whose gambling problems run him afoul of gangsters in the 1974 movie of the same name.

The film is directed by Rupert Wyatt, with a screenplay by Academy Award® winner William Monahan, and produced by Academy Award® nominee Mark Wahlberg,  It also stars Jessica Lange.
