Minnesota Vikings, Brett Favre 9/1 Odds of Winning the 2011 Super Bowl

The Minnesota Vikings and Brett Favre are listed by BetUS.com with 9/1 odds of winning the 2011 Super Bowl.  Ironically, these odds haven’t changed much from the time before Favre made it official that he would play this season.  Nonetheless, it was widely believed that Favre would play and oddsmakers released their numbers based on that assumption.

Vikings Uncertainties Still Linger: No Answer From Brett Favre

ESPN.com points out that, besides the Brett Favre issue, Minnesota has concerns about Sidney Rice (left) and Percy Harvin. And, oh yeah, the Vikes also have that big opener.

Sportsbetting.com has not placed odds on the Vikings potential to win the NFC North over the past week.  It has put up odds for both the Bears and Lions winning that division (and Gambling911.com believes there is some value).

Vikings, Jets 2010 Odds in Quagmire With Favre, Revis Questionable

The Brett Favre saga continues….as does the Darrelle Revis saga in New York.

Despite news Monday that Revis is unlikely to play for the Jets, Sportsbetting.com has kept odds up on the Jets winning the AFC East at +150.  That’s slightly off from the Patriots at +130.

“They are essentially co-favorites to win the division still,” points out Don Shapiro of Gambling911.com.  “Can anyone say Miami Dolphins?”

Brett Favre: Odds Favor Return to Vikings in 2010

Brett Favre is widely anticipated to be playing for the Minnesota Vikings in 2010.

Gambling911.com, the world’s leading gaming news and odds provider, has Favre’s return pegged at around 70 percent while BetUS.com still has the Vikings with strong +150 odds of winning the NFC North, compared to +110 for the slightly favored Green Bay Packers.  The vast majority of online gambling websites had taken down odds on the NFC North, Gambling911.com noted.

Dallas Cowboys Need Hall of Fame Game Win

The Dallas Cowboys open up the 2010 pre-season NFL at Sunday night’s Hall of Fame game in Canton, Ohio.  They will be looking for their first win.  Oddsmakers at betED.com believe it won’t happen this time as they have made the Cowboys a +2 ½ underdog against the Cincinnati Bengals.

Buffalo Bills 2010 Regular Season Wins Total Betting

Carrie Stroup here for Gambling911.com and I gotta tell you, the Buffalo Bills look like a sad sack team coming into 2010.  Their 2010 regular season wins total betting features a line of OVER/UNDER 5.5 and we say go with the UNDER at Sportsbook.com.

Buffalo Bills Season Preview 2010 – 2011

The Buffalo Bills fan base readership is always strong for the Gambling911.com website year after year, regardless of any low expectations.  Sadly, this Buffalo Bills Season Preview for 2010 – 2011 won’t be a cure for the depression endured over these past several years.  Our friends at Sportsbook.com say TAKE THE UNDER in terms of regular season wins.  The UNDER is 5 ½.  OUCH!

Vegas Bookies Finding It Tough Placing Odds on Brett Favre, Vikings

Will he or won’t he retire and, if he does, what impact will Brett Favre not playing in Minnesota this coming season have on the Vikings?

Oddsmakers online, including the folks at Bookmaker.com who typically aren’t afraid to take chances, removed odds on the NFC North while waiting for an answer from Favre.

In Vegas, oddsmakers are studying ESPN interviews with Favre to detect any possible clues he might have to offer about his future with the Vikings (or without them).
