He's the favorite to win American Idol but will mainstream America vote for an openly gay contestant?

That's the question Gambling911.com has asked, citing potential value in other Idols, starting with Danny Gokey who would pay out $3 for every $1 bet at BetUS.com.

"(Judge) Simon calling it brave is, unfortunately, right. Not sure how middle America will take it but, f*** it, glad he didn't tone it down anymore," said UltimateBet.com poker pro and Celebrity Apprentice, Annie Duke.   "Adam Lambert is just so much better than everyone, by far. I had to watch it twice...he let his gay out and I loved it."

Lambert chose to sing Wild Cherry's "Play that Funky Music"

"Mick Jagger, Steven Tyler ... and Adam Lambert," Paula said.

That's stretching it more than a bit, but Lambert remains the most comfortable on stage and it shows. "You are definitely in the star zone," Randy said.

According to DialIdol.com, both Danny Gokey and Kris Allen received more votes than Lambert following Wednesday night's show.
