$10 PokerStars Qualifier Godoy Leads PCA10 Main Event at End of Day 2.

PokerStars qualifier Nicolas Godoy from Corrientes, Argentina, is leading the PCA10 Main Event with 166 players left. The 19-year-old from Corrientes won his seat in the PCA Tenth Anniversary promotion for just $10. He was fast asleep when a friend rang and said he was coming over to play the satellite but it was Godoy who won the $16,000 package. He is here in the Bahamas with his uncle and aunt. In March he starts college studying Business Administration.

PCA10 Main Event Kicks Off With 320 Players

A total of 320 players competed on Day 1a of PCA10 today including Team PokerStars SportStar Boris Becker, Team PokerStars Pro Barry Greenstein and Ryder Cup golfer Sergio Garcia.

The Super High Roller final is currently being broadcast live on #PCALive. Three players left - Scott Seiver, David Sands and Nick Schulman (who came fourth two years ago).

CANADA CUP 
Danny Noseworthy from Newfoundland won the Canada Cup for $40,417. The top three also all won a seat - Noseworthy + Joseph Stiers and Kyle Meyers.

Philipp Gruissem Leads Record-Breaking PCA10 $100k Super High Roller

A total of 47 total players bought in to today's PCA Super High Roller making it the largest ever turn-out for a $100k tournament. The current chip leader - with 771,500 - is EPT London High Roller winner Philipp Gruissem who was one of ten players to re-enter today. Three players (businessman Paul Newey, Bryn Kenney and Igor Kurganov) bust twice and, so far, have not entered a third time. A total of 37 players are left at present. Players have until the first hand tomorrow to decide if they want to re-enter. The seat draw will be published at noon.

Phil Ivey Cleans House at PokerStars, Full Tilt Poker

One of the biggest money makers in poker, Phil Ivey, added to his bankroll the day before Christmas with a $460k pay day.

He won the monies between both PokerStars and Full Tilt Poker.  Ivey began playing at Full Tilt earlier in the month following more than a 1-and-a-half year absence.  Ivey plays under the new handle “Polarizing”.

EPT9 Prague Main Event Down to Two

The EPT9 Prague final was down to two players, Ramzi Jelassi of Sweden and Greek poker player Sotirious Koutoupas. 

PokerStars Stephen Bartley noted that Jelassi was in complete control on Saturday with Koutoupas still capable of a comeback.

He writes

It's not over yet, and Koutoupas has the chips and the support to pose a real threat. But you also sense that Jelassi is back in control, something that is not as easy to say for Koutoupas. It's now Jelassi's event to win.

WSOP Circuit 2012 Harrah’s Atlantic City Event 2 Will Pay Top 90 Finishers

The WSOP Circuit 2012 Harrah’s Atlantic City Event 2 is down to the final 90 and each player is now guaranteed $589.

This event was scheduled to play to a winner Sunday night and will award $50,000 to first.

Caufman Talley, who already has two WSOP Circuit rings, had the second largest number of chips behind Charles Moore as of early Sunday evening.

Yossi Azulay, who has 15 cashes in live tournaments to date, was among the top 10 chip leaders.

WSOP Circuit 2012 – Harrah’s Atlantic City (Updates)

The WSOP Circuit Harrah's Atlantic City 2012 Event #2A kicked off Friday with 326 registrants.  Another 400 players entered in Day 1B of this event, thus creating a hefty prizepool and top ROI for the champion of this $365 event.  Players eliminated during the first day of play were permitted to re-enter in Day 1B.  Late registration remains open through five levels, or roughly until 2:45 p.m.

The two starting fields combine Sunday to play to a winner.

Victor Figueroa of Miami Beach Wins WPT Rock 'n' Roll Poker Open Main Event

Miami Beach resident Victor Figueroa enjoyed his first major poker tournament win at the 2012 WPT Rock n’ Roll Poker Open Main Event at Seminole Hard Rock Hotel & Casino Hard Rock Monday, earning $105,000.

Brock Parker Wins 2012 Borgata Fall Poker Open

Brock Parker has won the 2012 Borgata Fall Poker Open and the $372k cash prize that comes with that honor.

A total of 644 poker players entered the event.

“It was a really good final table,” Parker told the Borgata blog after the event. “A lot of talented players.”

Parker’s life time earnings of just over $1.8 million include two first place finishes at the 2009 World Series of Poker that totaled nearly $800,000.  He won two WSOP bracelets as a result.  Parker has cashed out in 44 events to date.
