- FIFA insists that a referee’s call is final but even the French, at the center of a controversial win the other night, are beginning to lean towards a rematch with Ireland, opening up the possibility that they may play in the 2010 World Cup after all.
- Pittsburgh Steelers vs. Kansas City Chiefs odds opened at Steelers -8 ½ and the line has since shot up to -10. Some books were even pushing -11. BetUS.com maintained a -10 point line. The Steelers were getting almost all the backing on both the money line and spread. Pittsburgh is one of the most bet on teams of the week in the NFL.
- Washington Redskins vs. Dallas Cowboys odds opened at Dallas -10 ½ with the line only moving up a half point at some online sportsbooks.
- San Francisco 49ers vs. Green Bay Packers odds were coming in at Packers -6 ½ across the board after opening at -5 ½. Just over 75 percent of the betting action was going Green Bay's way. BetUS.com featured the Packers -6 ½ point line.
