Federal Online Poker Legislation: The Need for More GOP Involvement
Republican Congressmen Peter King (New York) and Joe Barton (Texas) are set to introduce bills legalizing online poker. King’s bill is set to be introduced next week (first week of June 2013) while Barton will introduce a companion bill some time during the summer.

Hollywood Casino in St. Louis Loses Roof in Severe Storms
Friday nights severe storms throughout Oklahoma and Missouri have left significant damage including a lost roof at the Hollywood Casino in Maryland Heights, Missouri outside of St. Louis. Trees and light poles were also down outside the casino. (This story was still developing)
No injuries were immediately reported at the casino. An evacuation was taking place.

$1.3 Mil Cash Intercepted by RCMP Tied to Hells Angels Internet Gambling Biz

Gambling Expansion in Illinois Moves Forward
SPRINGFIELD, Ill. (Associated Press) - A plan to expand gambling in Illinois has advanced out of a key House committee.
The proposal calls for five new casinos including one in Chicago and scores of slot machines. But bill sponsor Rep. Robert Rita, a Blue Island Democrat, says details are still being worked out.
The House Executive committee on Wednesday OK'd stripping the bill of its language.
