Duhamel, Hachem, Benyamine Still Going Strong at Players Championship

26 players remained in this year’s World Series of Poker Players Championship coming into Day 4.  The event will pay out close to $2 million to the winner and more than a million dollars to runner up.  The winner will also receive the coveted Chip Reese Trophy.

Don Nguyen led with chips coming into Wednesday while Mike Gorodinsky sat with the second largest stack.

Doyle Brunson Busts Out of 2013 Poker Players Championship

It was a good run while it lasted by the Texas Dolly, Doyle Brunson, busted out of this year’s WSOP Poker Players Championship in 53rd place.

Both David Benyamine and 2010 World Series of Poker Main Event winner Jonathan Duhamel, continued to sit among the top 5 chip leaders heading into the overnight hours Tuesday.

Anthony Gregg Wins 2013 One Drop High Roller, Antonio Esfandiari Makes $1.4m

Anthony Gregg, also known as “Tony”, is the big $4.8 million winner of the 2013 One Drop High Roller event, which featured a $111,111 buy-in.  This is Gregg’s first WSOP bracelet. 

The 26-year-old from Columbia, Maryland was the winner of last August' Parx Open Poker Classic WPT Event, taking home $416,127.  He also finished 2nd at the PokerStars EPT Monte Carlo event last month. 

In just a very short period of time Gregg has become one of the top money earners in poker with $8,732,557 in winnings to date on the live circuit.

Antonio Esfandiari Still Going Strong at One Drop High Roller

You almost want to say “Hey, Antonio, let someone else win!”

Then again, a piece of us wants to see it happen again, and again, and again.

Antonio Esfandiari won last year’s big inaugural $1 million Big One for One Drop Event and the $18, 346,673 that came with it.

By Friday evening, with just 14 players left in the One Drop High Roller event, Esfandiari was still very much in the thick of things. 

Any place 5th or higher pays at least $1 million with 1st place paying $4.8 million.

$111,111 Buy-In Kicks Off: Second Most Expensive Tournament in History of WSOP

The $111,111 buy-in event at this year’s World Series of Poker kicked off Wednesday in Las Vegas.  It is the second most expensive tournament ever in the history of the WSOP, drawing 166 entrants, including some of the biggest names in poker.

Poker Pro Kevin Boudreau Suffers Brain Hemorrhage While at WSOP

Shocking news confirmed Saturday by the poker community that pro Kevin “Phwap” Boudreau was hospitalized last week with severe bleeding in his brain.  He suffered a brain hemorrhage while on a dinner break at this year’s World Series of Poker.

Alexandre Chieng Wins 2013 APPT Macau Main Event

Alexandre Chieng has won the 2013 APPT Macau Main Event and the $278,940 that comes with it.

Chieng also earned himself a seat into the Macau ACOP Main Event this coming October for his efforts.

To date, Chieng has won close to a half million dollars in live tournament play and has 17 cashes.

Kenneth Leong finishes 2nd and takes home $179,088.

Event #29 $5,000 H.O.R.S.E Controversy Over a Conversation in Russian (Video)

PokerNews.com reported on the controversy at Table 376 over two players speaking Russian to one another.

The problem at Event #29: $5000 H.O.R.S.E had to do with the fact that neither players were involved in the hands when speaking Russian.

Doyle Brunson’s Son Todd Makes Final Table of WSOP Event 20

All eyes are on Todd Brunson, son of the Godfather of Poker and friend of Gambling911.com Doyle Brunson.

Todd has made the final table of the World Series of Poker Event 20 - Omaha Hi-Low Split-8 or Better.

While the elder Brunson is among poker’s most recognized names, Todd is certainly no slouch.

David Sands Wins WPT World Championship Super High Roller

It is very rare that you make a World Poker Tour televised final table and still walk away empty handed, but that was what happened to three players on the final day of the World Poker Tour World Championship $100,000 Super High Roller event.

The high buy-in tournament attracted 21 players and so only the top three would walk away with prize money at Bellagio in Las Vegas, Nevada.

2013 World Series of Poker Europe Schedule Unveiled

The 2013 World Series of Poker Europe schedule has been released with the High Roller No-Limit-Hold’em event to take place October 22.

The Main Event will kick off on October 20 and continue on for seven days. 

Altogether there are a total of nine events taking place during this year’s WSOPE.
