South Carolina vs. Alabama College Football Odds

South Carolina vs. Alabama College Football odds had the Crimson Tide as huge -17 ½ home favorites at BetUS.com after opening at -17.  We are seeing some movement all the way up to -19 though more than 80 percent of the books online were holding at -17 ½.    Alabama was getting around 60 percent of the action on the spread.

Past history between these two teams doesn't help come up with a potential outcome being that they have split many of their recent games.

Happy Bookies Want Yankees – Dodgers Next

By TIM BONTEMPS, NY POST

It's not Yankees-Red Sox, but the Yankees playing the Angels in the American League Championship Series is the next best thing for the Las Vegas sportsbooks.

"With the close proximity of Los Angeles, we have a lot of Angels fans here in Vegas, and any time you get the Yankees, that helps," said Jay Kornegay, director of the Las Vegas Hilton's sportsbook.

Baltimore Ravens vs. Minnesota Vikings Odds

Baltimore Ravens vs. Minnesota Vikings odds were the second most sought after this week.  Gamblers once again are very high on the Vikings, betting Minnesota at an over 80 percent clip on the spread.  The two teams were getting even action on the money line it seemed.  SBG Global did have the line at -2 ½ favoring Minnesota heading into Friday and this was one of the few online sportsbooks offering odds this low.  Nearly all other books were offering the line at -3, where it opened.

Rush Limbaugh to Buy St. Louis Rams: A $450 Value

Right Wing Conservative radio analyst Rush Limbaugh says he's "not a racist".  A few NFL players and at least one team owner has suggested otherwise.

Limbaugh is trying to purchase the St. Louis Rams and his chances, according to the oddsmakers at Sportsbook.com, are virtually zero....at least for now.

They just released odds on Limbaugh buying the team.

Philadelphia Eagles vs. Oakland Raiders Line Still -14

The Philadelphia Eagles vs. Oakland Raiders line remained at -14 but we are already seeing trending upwards.  Anyone looking to bet the Eagles better do so quickly at -14 before that line disappears.  SBG Global was one of the books online that still offered the Eagles at -14.

The Eagles were getting over 90 percent of the action in this game so we certainly expect more books to push the line up.

Free Week 7 College Football Pick

Tony George has his Free Week 7 College Football pick.  Be sure to check out his site here for more picks.

It doesn't take a rocket scientist to determine that college football teams are more comfortable playing at home than they are on the road. Practicing in their own backyard, sleeping in their own beds and being able to relax with their teammates and friends goes a long way. Of course, like some things in life, too much good can lead to trouble.

Minnesota Vikings Win Hits Books Hard

A statement win by the Minnesota Vikings against the lowly St. Louis Rams has put quite a dent in the purse strings of online sportsbooks.

With nearly 100 percent of the bets going Minnesota's way on Sunday and the Vikings registering the heaviest betting volume of any team during the early afternoon games, online sportsbooks and Vegas establishments all got hammered.  It's fair to say there were few bookies happy to see Brett Favre back from retirement after Sunday's bloodbath.
