2008 Miss Universe Odds (Movers and Shakers)

2008 Miss Universe odds have been changing dramatically over the past 24 hours and Gambling911.com has been monitoring the situation closely.

At Bookmaker.com Miss Venezuela continued to hold the favorite position at +625 odds (paying $625 for every $100 bet). Miss Puerto Rico had +750 odds for a payout potential of $750 for every $100 bet. Miss Panama and Miss USA were both listed with +900 odds, which was somewhat surprising since Miss USA was taking in some pretty heavy action from "sharps" ($50 to $100 a bet compared to the typical $5 to $10 bets typically placed on Miss Universe from recreational gamblers).

Miss Mexico was among the biggest movers. She has climbed from double digit odds to +800 - shorter odds than Miss USA at Bookmaker.com.

Here were some other 2008 Miss Universe odds available at Bookmaker.com at press time 24 hours prior to the show's airing:

Miss Colombia +1000 for a $1000 payout on a $100 bet; Miss Czech Republic +1100; Miss Belgium +1200; Miss India +1200; Miss Ireland +1400; Miss Dominican Republic +1700; Miss Greece +2000; Miss Kosovo +2000; Miss Norway +2000; Miss South Africa (getting some decent action of late) +1800; Miss Australia +2200; Miss Costa Rica +2400; Miss Kazakhstan +2500; Miss Ukraine +2200; Miss Albania +2500; Miss Croatia +3000.

Miss Canada had odds of +3000, shortened from around +4500. Miss Bahamas has shocked many of us here at Gambling911.com with her odds being slashed from +8000 to +2200 after our own Jenny Woo rated her among the biggest 2008 Miss Universe Fuglies. Miss Germany odds were slashed from +8000 to +3300 as were Miss Italy and Miss Netherlands. Miss New Zealand had her odds slashed from +8000 to +3300, signaling some decent action on this beauty.
