GoDaddy.com Sued for $100 Million in Aiding Michael Jackson Online Casino

The popular registrar GoDaddy.com is being sued for its allowing a company to register the MichaelJackson.com online casino, according to TMZ.com. 

GoDaddy.com is being pursued by Howard Mann, who claims he owns the copyright to photos features on the Internet casino website, which remains up as of press time Tuesday morning.  The mystery owner registered through GoDaddy.com, according to the suit.

Michael Jackson Online Casino Unauthorized Says Estate

 

The estate for late pop icon Michael Jackson claims that an online casino named after Jackson and using various trademarks is unauthorized to do so.

The online casino features an image of Michael Jackson and allows customers to play both casino games and bet on sports.  A message on the site reads: "The King of Pop is proud to bring you the most exciting Vegas style online casino betting experience on the Net!"

Japan Police Raid Sumo Stables After Gambling Scandal

TOKYO (AFP) - Japanese police raided two sumo stables Wednesday, seeking evidence in their probe of a gambling scandal linked to yakuza crime groups which has rocked the nation's ancient sport.

Police officers in dark suits walked into the Onomatsu and Tokitsukaze stables in Tokyo, where wrestlers have been involved in illegal gambling on baseball games and other sports, footage by public broadcaster NHK showed.

The police were expected to raid some 30 locations linked to the sumo world, including other stables, where wrestlers live and train.
