The poker community were in complete shock over poker pro Daniel Negreanu’s unacceptable attack on fellow pro Annie Duke and UB.com representative, calling her a “f***ing c***”.

Gambling911.com , a family website, cannot print the exact language.

“Calling a female that word is the lowest any male can go,” said Jenny Woo, Gambling911.com Senior International Correspondent.  “When people start calling others those types of names, they completely discredit themselves.  Daniel (Negreanu) owes Annie Duke an apology for those remarks, irrespective of the other criticism lodged against her.”

The comments were made during an interview with Poker Player.co.uk.

Negreanu was asked specifically about the Ladies event at this year’s World Series of Poker where men were permitted to participate.

“What irked me is men playing, using tampons as card protectors, and Shaun Deeb wearing a dress. I like Shaun Deeb, though. He’s a good kid – I think he was just misinformed.

But then Annie Duke sticks her nose out and says, ‘Good for you, men, standing up for sexual equality.’ What a load of baloney! They are not standing up for sexual equality. Then she made some points in her blog that she thinks this event should be abolished, and I’m thinking, there are 1,000 women who love to play poker with each other, and don’t want to have to deal with guys burping, farting and using tampon card protectors and stuff like that.

‘What irked me is that this woman has the audacity on her website to call herself ‘the best female poker player in the world’. So on one side of the coin she’s fighting for, ‘Oh, we’re all equal, there shouldn’t be any gender thing,’ but when appropriate she decides to call herself the best female poker player in the world.

‘So I’m like ‘how offensive are you, you f***ing c***? You want to say you’re speaking for women, yet you claim superiority over all of them.’

By afternoon, Annie Duke did respond on her Twitter page, responding to a fan’s tweet.

“Thank you for the support. I was certianly shocked at the language myself. I welcome criticism but not abuse.”

Ms. Duke was said to be extremely upset upon seeing the shock vitriol from a man who many believe is loosing his marbles.  Female poker players were equally outraged by Negreanu’s obvious hatred towards women in general.  Previously, Gambling911.com has reported on racist remarks made by the Canadian poker player.

During her appearance on Celebrity Apprentice 2 where Annie Duke became a finalist, she and comedian Joan Rivers routinely sparred to the point where Rivers called Duke “worse than Adolf Hitler”.

Negreanu just might have topped that one.
