PokerStars Caribbean Adventure Final Table Chip Counts

Alex Gomes led the way at this week's PokerStars Caribbean Adventure in the Bahamas. 

The PokerStars Caribbean Adventure is not just any poker tournament, it is now

the largest live tournament held outside of the United States at 1,346 players.

Gomes is helping to put Brazil on the poker map. The Curitiba, Brazil native last July won his first ever major tournament in the $2,000 No Limit Hold'em out lasting 2,316 competitors and winning the first place prize of $770,540 in the WSOP Event #4.

He was the first South American player to win a WSOP bracelet since Ecuadorian Carlos Mortensen won the 2001 Main Event.
