Bookie vs. Bettor: Loyola-Chicago vs. Nevada

Loyola-Chicago vs. Nevada features an opening line of Wolfpack -1.5.  The oddsmakers are offering a 2-point underlay here as the Power Ratings indicate a line of -3.5 is more realistic.

The line opened at -2.5. By Monday night, all but Pinnacle Sports had the number at -1.5.  Pinnacle, which caters heavily to sharps, was still holding at -2.

55% of the bets were still coming in on the Ramblers as of Monday night compared to 45% on the favorite.

Early action on Loyola-Chicago appears to have pushed this line down and the books seem to fear the initial money coming in on the Ramblers.

It remains to be seen how exposed the books will be with the 11 seed.  To date, they've been destroying the books, albeit only a small percentage of bookmakers, mostly those in the Chicago area, would have seen any serious impact.  Loyola-Chicago comes into this game having gone 21-9-1 Against The Spread.  That is one of the best ATS records in all of College Basketball.

Though the Wolf Pack are 11-4 ATS in their last 15 non-conference games, they are also 5-11-2 ATS in their last 18 games following a straight up win.

Loyola-IL is 13-5 ATS as an underdog over the last 2 seasons and 15-3 ATS when playing against a team with a winning record after 15 or more games this season.
