You've seen the ads, but are they legal?  Caesars Sportsbook is not yet available in the great state of Massachusetts.  Alternatives do include SportsBetting.ag, which is one of the oldest established online sportsbooks catering to North America since 1997.  They offer a generous welcome bonus (max bonus $1000).

This past August, Caesars formally announced the rebrand of the sports betting apps. The William Hill Sportsbook retail locations also rebranded to Caesars Sportsbook. In three jurisdictions, the rebrand still included the William Hill name.  Caesars is much more recognizable in the US than is the William Hill brand.  The later has always had strong name recognition in the United Kingdom.

Massachusetts is expected to adopt sports betting legislation some time in 2022, however, betting on in-state schools is likely to be prohibited, including UMass.  SportsBetting.ag does allow those 18 and up to bet on UMass and other state schools.

In Massachusetts the main focus is primarily on professional Boston area teams like the Patriots in the NFL, Red Sox in Major League Baseball, the Bruins in hockey and the Celtics in the NBA.

The Red Sox will open the season at 18-1 odds to win the World Series in 2022.  These are some of the longest odds we have seen for this storied franchise entering a season.

The Patriots, meanwhile, look to continue their success with a new star quarterback in Mac Jones.  He's got big shoes to fill as a replacement for the great Tom Brady.  The Patriots, under Jones leadership, still managed to go 10-7 during the regular season and earned a Wild Card Playoffs spot.

Iowa State: Are They The Underdogs To Look For In March Madness?

They may be defined as “underdogs” or “Cinderella teams”, a term that is usually saved for teams that have little to no chance of winning even a single game during the NCAA Tournament. Teams like Loyola Marymount (1990), George Mason (2006), Davidson (2008), VCU (2011), UConn (2014), and Loyola Chicago (2018) come to mind when conversations turn toward the most surprising tournament runs in recent memory.
