Top Macau Casino Tycoon Bludgeoned With Sticks, Hammer

(UPI) - A top casino magnate was bludgeoned by six men in his own casino in Macau, China, an attack police say is reminiscent of Macau's violent history.

Casino hotel investor Ng Man-sun was dining in the restaurant of the New Century Hotel Saturday with a female guest when six men rushed in and beat them with hammers and sticks. The New York Times reported Ng's legs and arms were badly injured; however, the assailants avoided striking him in the head.

Delaware Online Poker Roll Call Vote Could be Rescinded: ‘Sorry, I Meant to Vote No’

Just when we thought online poker was about to easily become legal in the state of Delaware following yesterday’s vote in the Senate, one of the Senators has come forward to proclaim that he “accidently voted ‘yes’ when he meant to vote ‘no’.”

Online Poker Bill Passes in Delaware Senate

Amendments attached to a bill that would expand gambling in the state of Delaware while offering online poker for residents of that state have been stricken.  The measure itself passed and is widely expected to be signed into law by Governor Markell shortly as his administration is heavily backing said legislation.  The Senate passed this bill by a vote of 14-6-1.  The bill was passed without amendments.

Online Poker to be Voted on Today in Delaware Senate

A Senate vote to delay Internet poker in the state of Delaware has been delayed.

Delaware Senate to Vote on Internet Poker, Web Gambling Today

A bill to legalize online poker and other forms of Web gambling will be voted on in the state Senate on Tuesday (June 26, 2012).  It is widely expected to pass.

The bill cleared a Senate committee Wednesday despite complaints from church leaders who say it is morally wrong. Delaware's harness racing industry also opposes the bill, saying its members wouldn't get a fair share of the gambling proceeds.

The Ramifications of Legalized Online Poker in Delaware Could Prove Significant

Delaware Online Gambling: Only Church Groups, Harness Racing Interests Stand in Way

Delaware appears to have little opposition in its attempt to pass a measure legalizing online gambling, including Web poker, in the state.  Delaware is the first state to openly express an interest in forming state compacts.  Both Rhode Island and West Virginia have been mentioned at the onset.

Intertops.com Stops Accepting New US Players Unless Invited

While no official statement has been released by Intertops.com, the oldest online gambling site in the world has stopped accepting new US registrants for the time being in all spaces unless invited by other players.  This includes sports betting, poker and its online casino. 

The decision appears to have been made without much notice as only yesterday the following tweet was made by Intertops:

Police Arrest 6 in Alleged Female Gambling Ring

DULUTH, Ga. (AP) — Police have arrested six women on gambling-related charges after officers broke up a gambling operation based out of at least two homes in a quiet suburban Atlanta neighborhood.

Gwinnett County police tell WSB-TV they got an anonymous tip from someone who was upset about the amount their spouse was gambling at one of the homes. When officers arrived, they discovered gambling machines.

Blue Monday Online Gambling Defendant Must Pay $100 Fine

On June 8, 2012, software professional David Parchomchuk appeared in Maryland Court to face charges stemming from last year's Blue Monday indictments. He accepted a DOJ plea bargain which saw him plead guilty to conspiracy to conduct an illegal gambling business for which Judge Catherine Blake fined Parchomchuk $100, along with 2 years of unsupervised probation. Prior charges of money laundering were dropped by the DOJ.
