PCA10 $100k Super High Roller 2013 Event Will Pay Winner Over $2 Million
The winner of the recording-breaking $100k Super High Roller tourney, the debut event of #PCA10, will be taking home a whopping first prize of $2,003,480. A total of 47 players bought in to the event making it the largest ever turn-out for a $100k tournament. There were 12 re-entries bringing the total number of entries to 59, creating a total prize pool of $5,724,180. Eight places are being paid.
Philipp Gruissem Leads Record-Breaking PCA10 $100k Super High Roller
A total of 47 total players bought in to today's PCA Super High Roller making it the largest ever turn-out for a $100k tournament. The current chip leader - with 771,500 - is EPT London High Roller winner Philipp Gruissem who was one of ten players to re-enter today. Three players (businessman Paul Newey, Bryn Kenney and Igor Kurganov) bust twice and, so far, have not entered a third time. A total of 37 players are left at present. Players have until the first hand tomorrow to decide if they want to re-enter. The seat draw will be published at noon.
Churchill Advocates Owning Casino in Louisville
LOUISVILLE, Ky. (Associated Press) — A Churchill Downs official says if expanded gambling is approved in Kentucky, it is important that the company own and operate any casino located in Louisville.
Brett Hale, who is Churchill's senior vice president for corporate and government relations, told The Courier-Journal (http://cjky.it/112vtUk) in a statement on Friday that if another company was allowed to run a casino in the Louisville market "138 years of racing heritage and Kentucky Derby tradition will be put at risk."

Swedish online poker pro Viktor Blom, better known as Isildur1, amassed another $700k the other night. In just the first three days of the new year, he has won just shy of $1.2 million.
Former Detroit Mayor’s Dad Gambled Away $218k: On Trial as Tax Cheat
The father of former Detroit mayor Kwame Kilpatrick stands trial for allegedly gambling away approximately $218,000 and underpaying on his taxes. A former IRS agent testified in the trial this week.
The trial returned following a 12-month holiday break.
Kilpatrick reportedly took in more than $2.2 million as a business consultant during his son’s tenure as mayor.
He gambled away much of his money at casinos in both Detroit and Las Vegas.

Maryland Live Casino to be Open 24 Hours
(Associated Press) - Maryland's largest casino will be open 24 hours a day, seven days a week.
Maryland Live! at Arundel Mills Mall unlocked its doors for the last time on Thursday morning.
Previously, Maryland casinos could be open from 8 a.m. to 2 a.m. Sunday through Thursday and 8 a.m. to 4 a.m. Friday and Saturday. But an expansion of gambling approved by lawmakers in August and voters in November included the expansion of hours for the state's casinos.
