Intertops Stops Accepting New US Players

Intertops.com, which recently became part of the newly branded Revolution Network, has stopped taking new US customers at this time.

Details of this decision were not immediately known.

Upon attempting to sign up from within the United States, the following message appears.

Shulmans are Third Married Couple to Win World Series of Poker Bracelets

Much was made this week about the news that Allyn Shulman, wife of Card Player magazine owner Barry Shulman, had won a World Series of Poker (WSOP) championship gold bracelet.

Lock Poker Signs New Pro Felipe Mojave Ramos: Stout Out but Banks Big

With world dominance on its mind in the online poker arena, Lock Poker has signed on its latest pro, Brazilian Felipe Mojave Ramos. 

Meanwhile, Lock continues to enjoy success at this year’s World Series of Poker with another one of the card room’s elite players, Matt Stout, finishing 3rd at last night’s No-Limit Hold’em Event #33.

Facebook to Allow app Developers to Charge for Subscriptions

NEW YORK, N.Y. – (Associated Press) - Facebook is letting app developers charge subscription fees, in addition to existing one-time payments, for games and other applications on its site.

Facebook Inc. said on its developer blog Tuesday that the subscription feature will be available in July. The changes open up a new revenue stream for developers as well as for Facebook, which takes a 30 per cent cut from all payments on its site.

Internet Poker Advances in New Jersey

TRENTON, N.J. — Internet gambling in New Jersey has moved a step closer to reality.

An Assembly panel approved the proposal Monday. The bill now needs to be voted on by the full Assembly and Senate, but those votes have not yet been scheduled.

Cake Poker $100k Tournament Hosted 748 Players

Cake Poker hosted its $100k GTD ($109) Sunday at 8 pm GMT.  This past Sunday’s event featured 748 players with a serious overlay value and ended up awarding $18,750 to a player by the name of “makkar”.

Timothy Adams, Larry Wright Latest WSOP Bracelet Winners: Michael Mizrachi Near Miss

Timothy Adams and Larry Wright have won their first World Series of Poker bracelets in separate events while well known poker pro Michael Mizrachi just missed his shot.

Gambling News: Ylon Schwartz Enjoys More WSOP Success and First Bracelet

Ylon Schwartz has just won his first World Series of Poker bracelet at Event #27:  $1,500 buy-in H.O.R.S.E..  Schwartz was best known for making the final table of the 2008 World Series of Poker, finishing in 4th place and taking home nearly $3.8 million.  He also briefly dated Gambling911.com reporter Jenny Woo.

Phil Ivey Leads as Current 2012 World Series of Poker Player of the Year

Phil Ivey hasn’t won any of the 2012 World Series of Poker events yet, but he’s already amassed quite a payday of well over $500K, finishing in the money in four different events.  He is currently the leader to be named WSOP 2012 Player of the Year.

Blue Monday Online Gambling Defendant Must Pay $100 Fine

On June 8, 2012, software professional David Parchomchuk appeared in Maryland Court to face charges stemming from last year's Blue Monday indictments. He accepted a DOJ plea bargain which saw him plead guilty to conspiracy to conduct an illegal gambling business for which Judge Catherine Blake fined Parchomchuk $100, along with 2 years of unsupervised probation. Prior charges of money laundering were dropped by the DOJ.

Pinnacle Entertainment Acquires Heartland Poker Tour

LAS VEGAS — (Associated Press) - Casino operator Pinnacle Entertainment Inc. is buying the owners of a televised poker tournament, the Heartland Poker Tour, so it can work the poker matches more closely into its casinos and expand the tournament.

Scotty Nguyen Denied Another WSOP Bracelet by Joe Cassidy

Somehow young poker player Joe Cassidy managed to deny two World Series of Poker multi-bracelet winners, Phil Ivey and Scotty Nguyen, from capturing another.  And consider this, between the two of them, Ivey and Nguyen have a total of 13 WSOP bracelets.

Internet Gambling to be Approved State by State Over Next Two Years Predict Panelists

(Associated Press) - The U.S. Congress is too badly divided to act on Internet gambling, so individual states will start approving it on their own within the next two years, panelists at a major casino conference predicted Thursday.

Grand Prix 2012 Crescent Street – Camasino.com not Rattled by Student Protests

The Grand Prix in Montreal was surely an interesting one!  The students protested every night on Crescent Street where all the action was for fans that came in from every corner of the world.

Online Gambling Site BetED.com Software Programmer Sentenced

A software programmer with the now defunct online gambling website BetED.com have been sentenced. 

Darren Wright and David Parchomchuk were caught up in a sting operation run by the US Attorney’s Office out of Maryland in May of last year.  Agents with that office set up a phone payment processing company and transferred millions of dollars in funds on behalf of BetED.

PokerStars.es Debuts in Number 9 Position

Just as Revolution Gaming, Microgaming and the Merge Gaming Network had been fighting for the coveted number 9 position of most trafficked online poker networks, along comes PokerStars.es.

888Poker.es bragged of being number two in the market but rank all the way down at number 27 worldwide.

Poker pro Phil Ivey continued to hold the chip lead heading towards Midnight Pacific Time at WSOP Event 24:  Omaha Hi-Low Split-8 or Better.  A win would mean Ivey’s 9th World Series of Poker bracelet.

The First State Delaware Wants to Lead the Way in US Online Poker Market

Delaware was the first state to join the union in the US and now they are looking to become the first state to offer online poker via multi-state compacts.  On Tuesday, they moved one step closer to that reality.
