Keven Stammen Wins the WPT Championship 2014
There are few soft spots in a field as talented as the 328 that entered the World Poker Tour World Championship sponsored by partypoker at the Borgata Hotel and Casino, and so it is fitting that there were no soft spots at the final table of six.
The table included Keven Stammen, Byron Kaverman, Tony Dunst, Ryan D'Angelo, Curt Kohlberg, and Abe Korotki, and in the end a large starting stack proved to be the difference in a relatively even collection of top poker talent.
Daniel Coleman Wins €100K Super High Roller at EPT 10 Grand Final
WCOOP Heads-Up champion Daniel "mrGR33N13" Colman has won the €100k Super High Roller for €1,539,300. The 23-year-old American, currently living in Rio, Brazil, beat high stakes online cash games pro Dan “jungleman12“ Cates after a one-hour heads-up battle. As well as his cash prize, Colman also receives a stunning bracelet worth €10,000 from Shamballa Jewels, the Official Braclet Sponsor of EPT Season 10 Super High Roller events. The tournament attracted a record-breaking 50 players which, with 12 re-entries, created a €6,015,240 prize pool.
Macau Regulars Dominate in Super High Roller Final 2014
Seven Macau high-stakes cash game players came to compete in this year’s €100k Super High Roller - and three of them have made the final. They include chip leader Rono Lo (aka Lo Shing Fung) who has 4,558,000, some distance ahead of Germany’s sensational Ole Schemion who has 2,818,000. Lo’s friends Richard Yong and Paul Phua will also be back in the Salles des Etoiles at 1pm tomorrow, having outlasted 42 of the entrants (so far) and now all guaranteed at least €241,000.

Sacramento, CA - The Morongo Band of Mission Indians, California’s (and the world’s) three largest card clubs – the Commerce Club, the Hawaiian Gardens Casino and the Bicycle Casino – and The Rational Group, which owns and operates PokerStars, announced today that once California enacts legislation authorizing intrastate online poker, PokerStars will serve as the subcontractor providing the online poker platform and related services for a real-money online poker website to be licensed, owned and operated by an entity owned by the Tribe and the card clubs.
Marc Pincus Steps Down From All Operational Roles at Zynga
The social gaming giant Zynga founder Marc Pincus has stepped down from all operational roles saying ““Ultimately a Ship Is Better With One Captain”.
The announcement was made on Wednesday. Pincus will assume the role of company Chairperson.
Pincus stepped down from his CEO position last year.
