Florida State-Clemson Line has Tigers as Favorite After Opening as Underdog

The Florida State-Clemson line was coming in at Tigers -2.5 after opening as a -3 underdog.  Clemson is ranked number 21, Florida State is ranked number 11.  It is Clemson that comes into this game undefeated.

Florida State's rally from a 10-point halftime deficit fell short last week in a 23-13 home defeat to top-ranked Oklahoma.

The line on this game has changed drastically following the injury of Seminoles quarterback EJ Manuel.

Oklahoma State-Texas A&M Line at -3

The Oklahoma State-Texas A&M line was coming in at -3 in favor of the Aggies early on but has since moved up to -4.5.

Since 1997, the teams have played seven games that have been decided by five points or fewer.
"They've done a great job. We've come up short," Texas A&M coach Mike Sherman said. "I don't think any of it carries from one year to the next. Every year is independent of the previous one and every game is independent of the previous one. We want to be 1-0 at the end of Saturday afternoon."

LSU-Mississippi State Line Hovers Around -3.5

The LSU-Mississippi State line was listed anywhere from -3.5 to -4 favoring Louisiana State.  The sports betting public was all over LSU in this game.

LSU destroyed Northwestern State last week and enters this game at 2-0 after beating the almighty Oregon Ducks the week prior.  Oregon was ranked number 3.  The Mississippi State game will present the Tigers with yet another significant challenge early on in the season.

While it is a shortened week for LSU, head coach Lee Miles isn’t concerned.

Alabama vs. Penn State Line – September 10: 95 Percent of Public Backs Crimson Tide

With nearly 95 percent of those backing the Crimson Tide -10 road spread, the Alabama vs. Penn State line wasn’t moving much on Friday.

From ESPN.com:

Both teams plan to play two quarterbacks. A year ago, Penn State never gave itself a chance with four turnovers in a 24-3 loss. The scene shifts to a packed Beaver Stadium this Saturday, which should give the Nittany Lions a huge boost. But there's still the matter of moving the ball against that Alabama defense, which held Kent State to 90 total yards in the opener.

Arizona vs. Oklahoma State Line at -14 – September 8, 2011 Game

The Arizona vs. Oklahoma State line was at -14 favoring the number 8 ranked Cowboys.  Close to 60 percent of the spread action was going the way of OK State.

This line did open at -14.5 and has since moved down a half point at the majority of online sportsbooks.  A handful of books were still featuring the -14.5 line.  Gambling911.com does not anticipate a move below the number 14, especially with action nearly evening out.  This game will get decent betting action being that it is played this coming Thursday (September 8, 2011).
