Forget the Muppets!

ESPN will be launching a light-hearted puppet show called ‘Off the Ball’ that will feature six hand puppet characters giving post match interviews.

The show’s sponsor is Coral, one of the United Kingdom’s largest bookmaking operations.

Launching on the 12th of January, Guardian football writer Will Buckley is slated as the host.  He will be joined by comedians and journalists Nick Hancock, Harry Pearson and Martin Kelner.
