Bucs Bowles First NFL Head Coach Fired Odds Watch

OAKLAND PARK, Fla. - (Gambling911.com) - It now looks like it's going to be a long season for Tampa Bay Bucs fans.  

The Buccaneers starting quarterback Baker Mayfield suffered a dislocated right thumb in the fourth quarter of Sunday's 23-16 loss to the Minnesota Vikings, coach Todd Bowles said.

Bowles said X-rays did not show a fracture and that Mayfield will undergo an MRI on Monday.

Mayfield's injury happened with 1:54 remaining, when his pass was intercepted by Vikings linebacker Andrew Van Ginkel.

The Vikings were already up at that point.  

And speaking of Bowles, BetOnline is likely to have him as the favorite to be the first head coach fired this season. 

Dan Quinn had been the favorite coming into Week 2.  He's safe for now.... and for a while perhaps.  

The Commanders stunned the reigning Super Bowl champs Seattle on Sunday. 

Washington snapped Seattle's 12-game winning streak....and with a backup quarterback no less. 

Two quarters after Washington linebacker Leo Chenal was carted off with a scary neck injury, backup Kain Medrano delivered the biggest play of the game.

Medrano returned an interception 50 yards for a touchdown with 3:57 to play, and the Commanders held on for a 33-31 victory Sunday, handing the Seattle Seahawks their first loss since November.

Marcus Mariota — another backup forced into duty — threw three touchdown passes for Washington, which forced three turnovers in its home opener.

“One turns into two, two turns into three. Ball just falls that way,” Medrano said. “That momentum that we have, we're hunting the ball, and that's what we do as a defense.”

Chargers head coach Jim Harbaugh should certainly be inching closer to the First NFL Head Coach Fired favorite with a 0-3 start.  They lost to Buffalo on the road.
