Annette Obrestad revealed on Saturday she has booked her tickets for Aussie Millions. Obrestad won the first ever World Series of Poker Europe in 2007.
The Aussie Millions (also known as the Crown Australian Poker Championship) is considered the Southern Hemisphere’s richest poker tournament and one of the most prestigious in the world. Last year, the first prize award paid out $1.6 million.
Top Poker Pros Confirmed for 2012 DeepStacks Poker Tour at Mohegan Sun
Friday November 23 will mark the start of the 2012 DeepStacks Poker Tour at MoheganSun. A $400 No Limit Hold'Em Tournament gets the action started at 11:00am hosted by Michael "The Grinder" Mizrachi.
This tournament is a $125,000 guarantee. From there, multiple tournaments follow, all the way up to the main event with the DeepStacks Poker Tour Mohegan Sun National Championship starting on December 1st. $500,000 makes up this main event prize pool and plenty of big names will be on-hand for this huge tournament. 2013 World Series of Poker Schedule Unveiled
The 44th running of the World Series of Poker will begin on Wednesday, May 29, 2013 at the Rio All-Suite Hotel & Casino in Las Vegas.
The action-packed schedule which includes gold bracelet events, satellites, cash games and daily deep stack tournaments will run for 49 consecutive days, concluding with the final nine players of the WSOP Main Event on Tuesday, July 16, 2013.

James Carroll Grabs HPT Vegas Title for $104K

Simon Deadman, Tom Brady Weekend Poker Tournament Winners
Simon Deadman has won the GUKTP Blackpool Main Event. His winnings were reduced to a mere £49,290 due to the low turnout for this once highly popular event.
The £1,000 buy in event attracted just 173 players, which was down from 262 last year.

PokerStars MicroMillions Returns in November With $5 Million Guaranteed
PokerStars today announced a $5 million guaranteed prize pool for the third installment of MicroMillions, the popular micro-stakes online tournament series launched earlier this year. The upcoming festival will take place from November 15-25, and feature 100 tournaments with buy-ins ranging from just 11 cents to $22.
The series will culminate with a $22 buy-in No Limit Hold’em Main Event with a guaranteed $1 million prize pool on Sunday, November 25 at 14.30 ET (20.30 CET). The winner of the tournament is guaranteed a minimum of $150,000.
Greg Merson Wins 2012 World Series of Poker Main Event, Player of the Year
United States player Greg Merson has won the 2012 World Series of Poker Main Event.
In addition to winning poker's most coveted title, the 26-year-old from Massachusetts also earned the honor of 2012 WSOP Player of the Year. Merson trailed Phil Hellmuth going into the final table and needed to win in order to win Player of the Year honors. Hellmuth finished second in this year's race--the same finishing position he earned last year.
Merson’s 2012 WSOP win amounted to a whopping $8.5 million as he beat out Jesse Sylvia to take the prize, which includes a gold bracelet.
