(June 5, 2023) - The consensus cappers were all over the Red Sox as they got set to host a final game against the Tampa Bay Rays Monday late afternoon. This was a makeup game.
Shane McClanahan was 8-1 with a 2.07 ERA for Tampa. McClanahan took his first loss after allowing two runs in 5 2/3 innings Tuesday against the Cubs. This was not a spot we'd be promoting, betting against him. And we didn't here at Gambling911. He's also allowed just one home run versus Boston batters in 74 at bats ahead of Monday's game.
Brayan Bello was 3-3 with a 3.89 ERA for the Red Sox. He limited the Reds to one run in four innings and struck four in a tough loss to the that team on Tuesday. He logged a quality start in Tuesday night's loss to the Angels, allowing just two runs on six hits over seven strong innings.
Yandy Diaz (.312) was 3-4 against him coming into this game and went 2 for 4 at bats with one run Monday.
Bello we didn't see pitching beyond the 5th inning whereas McClanahan, looking to bounce back today, we expected to get through 7. Both made it through the 6th.
