Texas, with just one loss this season, comes into Mercedes Stadium in Atlanta Georgia as a -2.5 favorite against Georgia Saturday in a "must see" game between two very good teams.

In their debut as a member of the powerhouse league, the No. 2 Longhorns posted the best regular-season record and earned a spot in the SEC championship game Saturday.

“Not a lot of teams can go into a league their first year — especially the SEC — and get a chance to play for the championship,” Texas running back Jaydon Blue crowed.

The Bulldogs are playing in the title game for the seventh time in nine seasons under coach Kirby Smart.

Whether it's bookies using pay per head software, offshore sportsbooks or the U.S. regulated apps like DraftKings and FanDuel, the line has mostly come in at Longhorns -2.5 with only a few brief shifts to the 2 or 3.

Line Analysis

Sagarin gives us a number of UGA 0.40 if we give the Bulldogs the home field advantage, which we are doing.

Without the home field advantage, the line is pretty much on the money at Texas 2.75.

Last we checked, Texas is a long ways off from Georgia.

The dog has done exceptionally well within this line range when the wrong team is favored.

Comparables

  • Western Kentucky +2/+2/5. Sam Houston Wednesday Night Game (Western Kentucky 0.94 Wrong Team Favored) - Dog covers.
  • Oklahoma State +3/+2.5 West Virginia (OKS -3.4 Wrong Team Favored - 6 Point Overlay) - Dog covers.
  • Baylor +2.5 Iowa State (dog Baylor wins outright) Baylor 1.58 Wrong Team Favored - Overlay 4 points.

Our pick is on Georgia +3.5
