One can find a variety of online gambling sites that take bets on Fortnite Battle Royale, though not all accept bets from every jurisdiction.  Most sports betting (bookmaking) websites do take bets on eSports.  In fact, some now specialize in the genre (i.e. Pinnacle Sports, Betway).  Still others take bets exclusively on eSports (Unikrn).  It should be noted that Unikrn takes bets from only a limited number of jurisdictions worldwide.

What is Fortnite Battle Royale

Fornite Battle Royale has fast become the most popular arena battle game of all time and is taking the eSports wagering sector by storm.  It is billed as a survival game and a follow up to Fortnite: Save the World.

Survival games typically are set in hostile violent open-world environments where players must collect resources such as weapons and craft tools, but start off with limited equipment in which to do so.

The game was developed and published by Epic Games and only released in 2017, thus the popularity over such a short period of time (2 years) is fairly astounding.

The game is played either solo, or in a squad of two to four players, with up to 100 players participating each round.

Bet the outcomes of major Fortnite esports match ups or bet on your favorite players (i.e. Ninja, Vivid and more).  One of the largest events to bet on is the Fortnite World Cup.

According to Wikipedia, one of the first professional eSports competitions using Fortnite was the Fortnite Pro-Am event, held on June 12, 2018 during the Electronic Entertainment Expo 2018, with 3,000 in attendance.

How to Bet on eSports

A sample matchup would be DOTA 2, The Summit with Alliance facing off against BeastCoast.

In this matchup, Alliance was listed at -200 and BeastCoast was listed at +1050.

The minus (-) indicates the favorite, and in this case Alliance is a decent size favorite.  The -200 means you would be required to risk more than the potential winning amount.  Here you would bet US$20 to win US$10, keeping in mind that as long as Alliance wins, that US$20 is refunded at the conclusion and you profit (win) US$10.  The plus (+) indicates a potential win that would be higher than the risk.  With BeastCoast the +1050 underdog, a US$10 bet would result in a US$105 payout plus you receive your US$10 bet should BeastCoast win.

With a line of -200, typically you are starting with a US$20 bet to make a US$10 profit.  Most books allow customers to place US$200 bets to make a US$100 profit.  And still others allow for much higher limits.

With a line of +1050, typically you can start betting as low as US$10 to win or profit US$105.  A US$100 bet pays US$1050.

A quick glance of some other lines and their payouts:

+400 would result in a US$40 payout on a US$10 bet or US$400 payout on a US$100 bet.

+4000 would result in a US$400 payout on a US$10 bet or US$4000 payout on a US$100 bet.
