The Horned Frogs and Cougars haven't played each other since 2007, though this was once among the more storied rivalries in college football. These teams are in the same conference for the third time after playing in the Southwest Conference together from 1976-1995 and Conference USA from 2001-04. Both come into this one 1-1 and only one will walk away with a winning record.

Texas Christian is the -7.5 favorite in this one.

They are rated No. 31 on Sagarin (78.57) while Houston was coming in rated at No. 68 (70.94) and with home field advantage of 2.24.  This leaves us with a number of 5.39 TCU for an overlay of 2.

Houston QB Donovan Smith vs. TCU’s secondary. The Horned Frogs rank 126th in the nation in giving up 343.5 yards passing per game. Smith, a transfer from Texas Tech, has thrown for 493 yards with four touchdowns and has 88 yards rushing with three more scores.

We have some comparables though no real edge where the number is concerned.

TTU +7.5 KSU last season had the Wildcats covering and winning by 9 points last year.  This one featured a similar underlay of 2 points.

Illinois -7.5 Nebraska had the road favorite covering and winning big with a slightly smaller underlay of 1 point.

Xavier Worthy = Tyreek Hill 2.0?  Perhaps, and if that comes to fruition at any point in the future, the Bills only have themselves to blame.

J.J. McCarthy Drafted Number 3 Odds to Patriots

To be clear, the Michigan quarterback J.J. McCarthy is pretty certain to land in Minnesota.  But what if the New England Patriots shock us and pick McCarthy at Number 3 before the Vikings get their opportunity at No. 5?
