Rangers the Team to Beat in MLB From Texas

(May 12, 2023) - As the Houston Astros hover right around the .500 mark, the Texas Rangers continue to excel in 2023.

Texas owned a 23-14 record and had been winning at a 70% clip heading into Mid-May.

Still there was some bad news arriving on May 10 as it was revealed that ace pitcher Jacob deGrom is expected to miss as much as three weeks due to an elbow injury.

deGrom is 2-0 with a 2.67 ERA so far this season.  In his most recent start against the Athletics, deGrom allowed two runs -- one earned -- in six innings and struck out 11.

The author of the sports-betting legislation, Rep. Jeff Leach, R-Plano, gave an emphatic final speech on the House floor Thursday, reiterating his argument that many Texans are already betting on sports, only illegally.  Read More Here
