Heading into Monday night’s game against the Predators, the Vancouver Canucks odds to win the 2011 Stanley Cup were set at 2/1 or +200 at SBG Global.  They were leading the series 3-2.

Joel Ward managed to keep Nashville alive by scoring two goals less than five minutes apart early in the third period and helping to seal the 4-3 victory.

"Playing any sport, especially at a professional level, you always want to be that hero and score that big goal in certain times," said Ward, who has four goals in three games. "I just want to win and just try to work hard and not think about it too much."

The Canucks opened the regular season with 8/1 odds of winning the 2011 Stanley Cup.

At press time Monday evening, the Canucks led the Predators in the 4th quarter hoping to advance from the Western Conference Semi Finals and avoid a Game 7.
