UFC 87 Betting Odds: Shopping for the Best Lines

UFC 87 betting odds, just as with any previous UFC event, includes finding the best odds available and not just settling for what you regular online bookie happens to be offering.

Kenny Florian vs. Roger Huerta features odds for Florian of anywhere from -139 to -165.

The best odds on Florian could be found at BetUS.com -145. The best odds on Huerta could be found at SBG Global

During a media conference call in May, UFC President Dana White said the winner of Saturday's lightweight fight between Kenny Florian and Roger Huerta would likely get the next title shot, then White back peddled a bit by saying that he has other plans for B.J. Penn, none of which involve Florian or Huerta.

The key matchup we believe in terms of popularity Saturday will be favorite Brock Lesnar taking on Heath Herring. BodogLife.com had Lesnar at -230 odds. We've seen this one as high as -275 odds at a book we won't mention here since they are one of our adored sponsors). Take that one back - It's Sportsbook.com. The clincher though is this: Sportsbook.com was offering the best odds on Heath Herring: +215 for a payout potential of $215 for every $100 bet.

WWE announcer Jim Ross contended that Brock Lesnar could actually be cut from the UFC if he fails to win this coming Saturday's UFC 87 event. That seems rather far fetched to those of us at Gambling911.com considering Lesnar is among the most inquired about fighters in the UFC.

Elsewhere, Georges St-Pierre takes on Jon Fitch as the big -325 favorite (and we've seen this one as high as -400). There is little value in this fight for gamblers who would be laying too much. Jon Fitch pays $290 for every $100 bet at SBG Global if you wanna go that route, but who would?

Other big paying dogs include Dan Evensen, paying $400 for every $100 bet against heavily favored Cheick Kongo. Steve Bruno would pay upwards of $275 if he were to beat Chris Wilson. Rob Emerson would pay the same if he were to defeat Manny Gamburyan. Jason Macdonald pays $200. Jon Jones pays around $200. Ryan Thomas pays $225. Tamden Mccrory vs. Luke Cummo is pretty even.

Saturday night's fight between golden boy Oscar De La Hoya and Manny Pacquiao was already enjoying heavy betting by midweek. Betting odds on Oscar De La Hoya vs. Manny Pacquiao were listed between -180 for the favorite De La Hoya (at BetUS.com) and +160 for Pacquiao (found at BetCRIS.com).

No game this weekend is likely to have more betting activity that the Florida Gators vs. Alabama Crimson Tide. Despite being ranked number one in the nation, the Crimson Tide are a huge +10 underdog at Sportsinteraction.com heading into Thursday afternoon. That's not a typo.
