SBG Global Opening Line: Braves  -  150 ,  Total  9 Under - 115

Two of the hottest teams in baseball get together on Tuesday night as the Atlanta Braves host the Florida Marlins.  Both teams have started the season at 5-1 to lead the National League East.

SBG Global reports that early MLB Betting has the public taking Braves at Home.

The Marlins are 5-1 for the first time in franchise history after Sunday's 2-1 win over the Mets. "You've got to love it," first baseman Wes Helms said. "Hopefully, we can jump out to a good lead and keep playing good ball and not have to do too much when it comes to August and September. We want to win now."

The Braves are coming off a sweep of Washington over the weekend. "It's good to get off to a good start," said manager Bobby Cox, "If you start 1-5 instead of 5-1, it's tough to come back."  The Braves have been winning with hitting but that was against a poor Nationals staff.  It will be interesting to see how they do against a very good Florida pitching staff. "We're swinging it really good," said third baseman Chipper Jones, "And it's coming from all parts. ... When you're producing some runs down at the bottom of the order, it really takes the pressure off the top, because you know eventually the top is going to come through."

The Braves send Javier Vazquez to the mound on Tuesday.  He did not get a decision in his Braves debut going six innings and giving up three runs and five hits. He is 6-5 with a 4.68 ERA in 17 career games against the Marlins.

Florida goes with Chris Volstad who is coming off a 6-4 win over Washington in which he gave up just one earned run. Volstad is 0-1 with a 4.50 ERA in two starts against the Braves in his career.

Here are the MLB Betting stats for Tuesday's game. The Braves went 10-8 against Florida last season including 6-3 at home. The Marlins are 6-1 in their last 7 vs. the National League East. The Marlins are 4-1 in their last 5 games as an underdog. The Marlins are 5-1 in Volstad's last 6 road starts.

SBG Global Current Line: Braves  -  153 ,  Total  9 Under - 115

The Braves are 7-1 in their last 8 vs. the National League East. The Braves are 6-1 in their last 7 games as a home favorite.

The Under is 5-1 in Volstad's last 6 starts as a road underdog. The Over is 16-5 in the Braves last 21 games as a home favorite. The Over is 5-2-1 in the last 8 meetings in Atlanta between the two teams.
