Champs Sports Bowl betting odds opened at Florida State -5 ½.  This line has not changed much as we were heading towards Christmas Day and ultimately game day December 27, though some online sportsbooks had this one at -6.  For Wisconsin Badgers fans out there, BetUS.com did have this one at +6. betED.com had Florida St. at -5 ½.

In Bowden's second season with Florida State, he led the Seminoles (8-4) to a 40-17 win over Texas Tech in the Tangerine Bowl -- the precursor to the Capital One Bowl. This will be Florida State's 30th bowl appearance under Bowden and 27th consecutive one, the longest such streak in the nation after Michigan failed to qualify this season.

"I have great memories of Orlando," Seminoles coach Bobby Bowden said. "It's kind of exciting getting back."

Both Florida State and Wisconsin have depended on their running games this season, with the Badgers leaning on P.J. Hill and John Clay, and FSU relying on Antone Smith and Jermaine Thomas. Seminoles quarterback Christian Ponder is looking to redeem himself from a poor performance against Florida in which he was benched in favor of Drew Weatherford. The Badgers have been more effective since Dustin Sherer replaced Allan Evridge at quarterback. -- Heather Dinich.

These two teams have not had any head-to-head meetings.

The Badgers are 13-4 ATS in their last 17 non-conference games.  The Seminoles are 6-15-1 ATS in their last 22 games as a favorite of 3.5-10.0.
