NCAA bans championships in betting states

(Associated Press) - The NCAA approved a policy Thursday that would ban states, such as Delaware, from hosting championship events if they allow fans to bet on single games.

Chancellors and presidents from all three NCAA divisions approved the measure, saying it applies to "any session of an NCAA championship," though it does not apply to states that allow parlay betting, lottery tickets, pull tabs and sports pools.

Billy Donovan Insists he is Not Taking Kentucky Coaching Job

Florida Gators basketball coach, Billy Donovan, will not be accepting the Kentucky Wildcats coaching vacancy despite rumors to the contrary. 

"In response to the rumors circulating about my interest in other jobs, I wanted to address this as quickly as possible ," Donovan's statement said. "I am committed to the University of Florida and look forward to continuing to build our program here."
