The 2009 Stanley Cup playoffs betting odds are now available.  The playoffs get underway Wednesday and betED.com has odds for all eight first-round series.

NHL bettors can make their picks on the winners of the best-of-seven series, four of which start Wednesday and the other four Thursday.

It all starts with the New York Rangers opening their first-round series against the Capitals in Washington.

Next up is the Philadelphia Flyers taking on state rival Pittsburgh Penguins, with Pittsburgh a -155 favorite and Philadelphia a +135 dog.

The New Jersey Devils are a -130 favorite against the Carolina Hurricanes (+110), and the Vancouver Canucks are a -300 favorite in their series against the St. Louis Blues, who are +250.

On Thursday, the Boston Bruins host the Montreal Canadiens in Game 1 of their first-round series. Boston is a -325 favorite and Montreal a +275 underdog.

The defending Stanley Cup champion Detroit Red Wings are a big favorite (-700) against the Columbus Blue Jackets (+600).

The Chicago Blackhawks are a -145 favorite against the Calgary Flames, who are +125.

And the San Jose Sharks are a -300 favorite against the +250 Anaheim Ducks.
