Poker Pro Roland de Wolfe Named in £10m Cheating Lawsuit: Masseuses in Cahoots

A Dubai-based investor is suing London's Les Ambassadeurs casino for £10m claiming he was cheated at the poker table by pros Roland de Wolfe and Josh Gould.

In his suit, Iraj Parvizi, 48, claims he suffered damages playing in "tainted" cash games at the venue from 2010-2013.

Les Ambassadeurs  casino sued Parvizi firsts for allegedly failing to pay a £185,000 debt.  The investor affirmed that the supposed collusion occurred during the losing session in question.

From PokerStrategy.com:

In that particular session, Parvizi insists the two pros had been working together at the table, goading him into betting all his chips and then splitting what they won from him.

Bizarrely, on top of his allegations against his opponents, Parvizi is also adament that the venue's masseuses were conspiring against him that night, claiming they had been given "opportunities for inconspicuous inspection and signalling of players' cards to others."

One anonymous high roller who claims to have regularly played with Parvizi told the UK’s Daily Mail that the Dubai investor is just a horrible poker player looking for an excuse not to pay.

"No one would need to cheat to beat Iraj. We're professionals and he's terrible, so it's like Brazil against San Marino in football."

"As a professional player, you need credit and you rely on your reputation. I'd rather lose than collude."

Parvizi was charged earlier this year for his alleged role in what has been described as the UK's largest and most complex insider dealing investigation.  He has plead Not Guilty.
