During a break from the 2014 World Series of Poker Final Table Monday night, November Niner Mark Newhouse found himself getting jeered by the crowd.

The reason for the sudden disdain?

"....It's a softer field this year," Newhouse said matter-of-factly when asked to compare this year’s field to last year.

The interview was taped earlier but had been shown during the break in front of some 5000 spectators. Those jeers eventually turned into massive boos.

Newhouse was appearing in two consecutive WSOP Finals and, as if the odds of that happening weren't great enough, he also found himself eliminated in 9th place again.

Before the inception of the November Nine, the last person to make the Main Event final table in consecutive years was "Action Dan" Harrington, who accomplished the feat in 2003 and 2004.

When a reporter asked what's next for the 29-year-old high-stakes cash game pro, he said, "I don't know, I'll go back to my (hotel) room, I guess....I'll figure that out in about an hour."
