Online poker player DOOSA777 is convinced that lightning really can strike twice, as she celebrates winning not just one, but two Bad Beat Jackpots at Absolute Poker in as many months. Today at 18:20ET DOOSA777 pocketed $161,837.59 of the $487,169.53 Bad Beat Jackpot, taking her total Bad Beat Jackpot winnings to $263,794.56.

The 46 year- old resident from Lake Waccamaw, North Carolina cracked the jackpot today at 18:20 ET when she lost a hand of Texas Hold'em at Absolute Poker's Bad Beat Jackpot tables. Losing with Quad Jacks to SHERLOCKGT3's Straight Flush, DOOSA777 immediately set off Absolute Poker's Bad Beat Jackpot bells to the tune of $487,169.53.

For her loss at the table, DOOSA777 secured $161,837.59. The winner of the hand left the table $82,672.54 richer and two other players who were seated in the hand each took home $4,507.50 in cash. 14 other players each pocketed at5 least $3,507.50 for no other reason than they happened to be playing at Bad Beat Jackpot Tables with the same stakes.

It is definitely a case of history repeats for DOOSA777, who won her first Bad Beat Jackpot of $101,956.97 with Quad Jacks on February 4, 2009.  The nursing student showed Js-Jh, and with the flop reading Jc-7d-Jd, DOOSA777's four of a kind should have been enough to collect the pot. Fate had other ideas, with the Qh coming on the turn, the river delivering the Qs, and eventual hand winner CAPPMAN holding Qc-Qd.

With her double dose of bad luck at the felt, DOOSA777 has secured a brighter future for herself as well as her poker bankroll, but the big coup is that she can now afford to buy a new house for her mother, whose former home in their native Russia recently burnt down.

Bad Beat Jackpot games are traditional Texas Hold'em poker with an added jackpot component. $0.50 is collected from qualifying poker hands and placed into a constantly growing pot until someone hits the jackpot.

When an online poker player loses a hand with four 8s or anything better, 65% of the jackpot is divided among Bad Beat Jackpot players with a large portion of the remaining pot held over for the next jackpot. All players seated at a Bad Beat Jackpot table featuring the same limit and game type as where the bad beat occurred also win a piece of the jackpot.

Sky-high Bad Beat Jackpots aren't uncommon at either of the CEREUS Poker Network's online poker sites--players at UltimateBet and Absolute Poker have both witnessed a number of monster jackpots near the million-dollar mark--but with CEREUS, Texas Hold'em players can keep on looking forward to much larger jackpots, more often.
