Well, it took about 12 hours longer than most expected, but Brandon Staley was relieved of his head coaching duties in December, and Chargers GM Tom Telesco was sacked as well.  University of Michigan head coach Jim Harbaugh was not even among the early favorites, paying $900 for every $100 bet at the time.  And now it's being reported January 24 Harbaugh has been hired by the Chargers.

Bill Belichick topped the list of 14 early candidates with 3/1 odds even prior to officially parting ways with the Patriots.

Deion Sanders was the long shot at 40/1.

Since the early release of these odds, Harbaugh, a one-time quarterback with the team, had moved to the top of the list as favorite.

As a collegiate coach, Harbaugh has a 144-42 record, winning three Big Ten championships and Michigan's first national title since 1997.

He was 86-25 at Michigan and led them to a CFP championship this season.
