Preakness Stakes Odds – 2011

These Preakness Stakes odds – 2011 were available at BetED.com prior to the post positions announced this week.  These odds are subject to change so lock them in now here.  (note:  online accounts should be open prior to Saturday’s race in order to avoid heavy wagering volume and delays)

Animal Kingdom, winner of the 2011 Kentucky Derby, is the obvious favorite, but not by much: 3/1 or +300. Surprisingly, Dialed In and Mucho Macho Man were right up there at +400 and +450, respectively.

Trainer Graham Morton has offered zero indication that Animal Kingdom is suffering from any type of Kentucky Derby hangover.

"I'm impressed with how he handled everything," Motion said during a conference call with news reporters Thursday. "His weight is good. He's making it easy for me. I couldn't be happier."

Those of us here at Gambling911.com were in awe as Animal Kingdom’s odds to win the Kentucky Derby online were reduced from 20/1 to 6/1 just hours before last Saturday’s race.

Dialed In is in line to receive a cool $5.5 million dollar bonus as a result of previous wins Holy Bull Stakes (Grade III) and Florida Derby (Grade I).  Certainly that’s an incentive for the folks behind Dialed In to win (not that the horse actually cares about the added dough).  Dialed In disappointed at the Derby.

The +450 odds on Mucho Macho Man to win the 2011 Preakness Stakes make sense since he finished third at the Kentucky Derby last week.
