SPFL sponsors Ladbrokes appear to be losing customers who are fans of Aberdeen following an attempt at humor via the social media outlet Twitter.

So what exactly happened?

From the Scotsman:

Tweeting updates of the match at Pittodrie between Aberdeen and Rangers, the bookmakers told their followers that Danny Wilson’s opener was “fantastic news for Derek McInnes” along with a picture of the current Dons boss. McInnes is favourite to be the next manager of Rangers with the Ibrox club expected to make an approach for the 48-year-old this coming week.

Aberdeen supporters began accusing the league sponsor of failing to show impartiality.

Then came the angry tweets from fans.
