The culprit drug aripiprazole is found in both Abilify and Aristada.  The drug is primarily used in the treatment of schizophrenia as well as bipolar disorder, major depressive disorders, tic disorders, and irritability associated with autism.

The gambling side effect has actually been known for some time but the agency had just become aware that compulsive sex, binge eating and shopping might also be associated with the drug.
