Ex-NFL Player Charged With Illegal Gambling Busted Twice in One Week With Drugs

Former NFL player Rache Caldwell has been arrested for trying to sell the drug Molly.

Police had been monitoring Caldwell’s movements following his arrest just days prior for attempting to sell Ecstasy on the street.

And earlier this year he was arrested for running an illegal gambling ring.

From the New York Daily News:

"Former NFL receiver Reche Caldwell was busted for possession of nearly five pounds of MDMA, a pure form of ecstasy known by the street name 'Molly.'

"Acting on a tip, cops in Tampa arrested Caldwell Tuesday afternoon shortly after he signed for a USPS package containing 4.8 pounds of MDMA, CBS reported. Police confirmed the 'rocky substance' in the box was MDMA and put the value of the bust between $60,000 and $64,000.

"According to TMZ's calculations, however, Molly sells for $80 per gram - or $35,840 per pound - meaning Caldwell allegedly had approximately $180,000 worth of drugs on him at the time of his arrest.

"Caldwell, 35, was already awaiting trial stemming from a January arrest on charges of running an illegal gambling ring."

Let’s just say it hasn’t been a very good year for Caldwell.
