Tampa Bay Bucs Odds to Win NFC South 2015, Super Bowl

The Tampa Bay Buccaneers odds to win the 2016 Super Bowl and 2015 NFC South were set at 100/1 and 7/1, respectively.  This is a Bucs team that does have a shot at winning the South due to the lack of competition in the division.

Number one overall Draft pick quarterback Jameis Winston comes with plenty of baggage so, indeed, the Bucs were taking quite a gamble with this pick.  He’s the future of the franchise but that future likely will not be now.

Positives: The Bucs' decision-makers are more than satisfied with Winston’s character after doing research that included conducting exhaustive interviews of more than 75 people, according to Athlon Sports.  Dirk Koetter is a more than capable offensive coordinator who joins the team this season.  The biggest positive of all: Even the slightest improvement and these Bucs stand a chance to win the NFC South.

Negatives: The defensive unit witnessed an overhaul last season that will continue through 2015.  Winston has a lot of skeletons, some of which have not necessarily remained in the closet.

Final Analysis:  Winston has the potential to carry this team but that won’t be easy his rookie year, especially with very few weapons available at his disposal.

NFC South Odds to Win Division:

Carolina 2/1

Atlanta +220

New Orleans +220

Tampa Bay 7/1

J.J. McCarthy Drafted Number 3 Odds to Patriots

To be clear, the Michigan quarterback J.J. McCarthy is pretty certain to land in Minnesota.  But what if the New England Patriots shock us and pick McCarthy at Number 3 before the Vikings get their opportunity at No. 5?

Bet on Jared Verse Draft Position

Jared Verse had an over/under selection number of 15.5 with CBS Sports believing the Florida State EDGE will be chosen by the Seattle Seahawks at No. 16.
