PPH Football Betting -- Niners' Recent History is God Awful in Seattle

Colin Kaepernick has made three road starts in the post-season, and he has now won al three of them. And the San Francisco 49ers have now split their meetings over the last two seasons with the Seattle Seahawks. Still, as PPH football bettors know, that might not mean a thing when these teams meet up at Century Link Field this weekend in the NFC Championship game.

The Seahawks are three-point favorites this Sunday, according to the sportsbook betting lines that are offered at WagerHome.com, and it could be the case, at least in the opinion of many Price Per Head sports betting analysts, that the 'Hawks are coming at a bargain price in that one.

That's because it is a different world for the Seahawks, as it is for other teams, when the games are played in the Pacific Northwest in front of the collective "12th Man." And it is in the building there, considered to be the loudest in the NFL, that the Niners have been a virtual no-show.

Consider some of the following data that we take out of the games San Francisco has played the last coupe of seasons in Seattle, since the Seahawks have become formidable under Pete Carroll and Russell Wilson has been part of the picture at the quarterback position:

-- First of all, the Seahawks won the 2012 meeting 42-13 and their encounter this year by the score of 29-3, naturally covering both of them by a wide margin in the pro football betting odds at WagerHome.

-- In those two games, San Francisco has been outscored by a combined 33-6 in the first half.

-- In twenty total drives, the 49ers have not scored a meaningful touchdown in those games, and pushed it once over the goal line - with 1:40 left in the 2012 game, which brought the score from 42-6 to 42-13.

-- Seattle converted 16 of 29 third downs in those games, while San Francisco was just six out of 23.

-- Out of the 120 minutes in these games, the Seahawks held the ball for almost 72 minutes, which is something that should be rather astounding for PPH football bettors.

-- The Niners turned the ball over seven times in those games.

-- Colin Kaepernick completed just 50% (32 of 64) with four interceptions and only 5.8 yards an attempt. By contrast, Wilson's passes have averaged 7.8 yards an attempt, and he threw five TD passes.

-- Marshawn Lynch averaged 3.9 yards per carry, but he scored five touchdowns and gained 265 total yards from scrimmage (rushing and receiving).

-- Frank Gore rushed fifteen times for 44 yards in those two games combined, which contributed to a lot of distraught NFL bettors who had back Frisco at WagerHome.

-- The Niners got out of their game plan in the two meetings in Seattle; they ran the ball only 39 times, compared to 64 passes. With Seattle it was just the opposite, as the Seahawks ran it 86 times and threw the ball only 41 times. And remember, it's not like the 49ers were forced to go to the air; after three quarters of this year's game, they were down only 12-3.

-- Seattle had the clear edge in first downs, with 41 to San Francisco's 29.

If you are a WagerHome PPH customer who is looking for some things that might encourage you about the Niners, there are some, although they are few:

-- Wilson, who is 16-1 straight-up as a starting quarterback at home, was slowed considerably by San Francisco in this year's meeting, completing only eight of 19 passes, tossing an interception and being sacked four times.

-- NaVorro Bowman was a rather dominant defensive player up in Seattle, with 27 tackles (eight solo) in the two games combined.

-- Both of these teams averaged the same yardage per play in each game - 5.6 in 2012 and 4.1 this year. That would seem to indicate to Price Per Head bettors a more even game, if the Niners can clean up the mistakes.
