Patriots vs. Jets

The Patriots vs. Jets betting odds were at New England -2 ½ after opening as a PICK.  The line has moved up dramatically in order to encourage wagering on the New York Jets.  As of Wednesday more than 95 percent of the betting was going towards the Pats at SBG Global and just about everywhere else for that matter.

“We witnessed something similar with the Green Bay Packers/Philadelphia Eagles game this past Sunday when early action was almost exclusively on the Packers at around 95 percent or greater,” points out Don Shapiro of Gambling911.com.  “Eventually the action leveled off around 80 percent.”

Still, the Packers were the most bet on team during Week 1 of the NFL and the bookies got clobbered with Green Bay managing to cover easily.

“The Patriots vs. Jets game is yet another lopsided betting affair,” Shapiro says.

Oddly enough, the line hasn’t really moved much at SBG Global, where it opened at Patriots -2.

New England dominated in their home game against the Cincinnati Bengals this past Sunday while the Jets struggled at home against a stingy Baltimore defense Monday night.
