Orange Bowl Game Odds:  Virginia Tech vs. Stanford

The Orange Bowl game odds have been announced for January 3, 2011 and it’s Virginia Tech vs. Stanford with a spread of -3 favoring Stanford.

The Hokies qualified for the coveted Orange Bowl by winning 11 games in a row after starting off the season 0-2 while Stanford won 7 straight.

The Hokies will make their fourth appearance in the Discover Orange Bowl, having played in 1996, 2008 and 2009.

Stanford’s Orange Bowl appearance will be the fourth by the Pac-10.

Stanford (11-1, 8-1 Pac-10) was No. 4 in the final BCS Standings, qualifying the head coach Jim Harbaugh’s Cardinal for an automatic “At-Large” bid to a Bowl Championship Series game. Its only loss came to undefeated and No. 2 Oregon, which has been named to play in the BCS National Title game against Auburn.

The 5 BCS games are:

BCS national title: Auburn -3 Oregon

Rose: TCU -3 Wisconsin

Sugar: Ohio State -3 Arkansas

Orange: Virginia Tech +3 Stanford

Fiesta: Oklahoma -17 Connecticut
