Expectations for the Packers have been high in recent years,  This season oddsmakers have Green Bay winning 11 regular season games, though they are slightly favored to win less than that.

Green Bay is now the favorite, a half point ahead of the Patriots, at 7-1 odds to win the 2017 Super Bowl.

Aaron Rodgers is 45-9 as a host the past seven years.  An injured Rodgers suffered through three home losses last season.

WalterSports notes that the early portion of the Packers schedule appears to be a cakewalk

Green Bay has a very easy start to its season. Of the first nine games, seven contests are against the Jaguars, Lions, Giants (home), Cowboys (home), Bears, Falcons and Titans. In fact, the Packers are favored in every single contest this year per the early Vegas lines, save for one: Week 2 at Minnesota.
