It’s all about the Patriots avenging their only loss of the year to division foe Buffalo. New England was embarrassed at home by the Bills and the betting public sees this as a scenario where the Pats should destroy them. The sportsbooks enjoyed a sweet pay day Friday night with South Florida covering with most bets at -6.5 on Navy, though a chunk of those betting this game got on the Midshipmen early as a +7.5 to +9 underdog. Navy covered beyond the 7 after falling behind by double digits early on to South Florida. Books more than made up for that deficiency with South Florida winning outright and nearly all the money line wagers on Navy. San Diego State’s big win over Utah Friday night helped ease bettors pain.
