According to a number of reports, Green Bay Packers GM Ted Thompson says that he wouldn't rule out signing troubled QB Michael Vick.
As it stands, the Packers have Aaron Rodgers, Matt Flynn and Brian Brohm on the roster as signal-callers.
The Over/Under on Green Bay's regular season win Total is 9. They would pay 9/1 odds by winning the 2010 NFC Championship.
One sure fire way to alienate Packers fans further is by signing Vick. They don't exactly need him. Rodgers threw for over 4,000 yards and 28 touchdowns.
The Packers President seems to agree.
"How do you say it, much ado about nothing," Packers President and CEO Mark Murphy said Wednesday, during a media conference to announce the Packers' new lottery deal. "I don't see anything there. I don't anticipate anything happening there."
If any team is going to sign Vick, it should probably be the Detroit Lions, who really can't go any lower than their 0-16 finish last season. The Lions incidentally are a big favorite to win less than 5 games this season (-185 odds at Sportsbetting.com).
