Georgia Tech vs. Miami Betting Odds

Georgia Tech vs. Miami betting odds ranged from Miami -4 ½ to -5.  The line opened a -4.  65 percent of the betting action was going Miami's way so we don't expect the line to go over -5 before game time on Thursday night.  BetUS.com was offering the Miami -4 ½ line at press time Wednesday morning.

Georgia Tech has dominated over the last four games in this series dating back to 2005.  Before that, Miami had won the two previous games.  Two of the Georgia Tech wins were in Miami as a +2 and +19 underdog, respectively.  On the surface, based on recent head-to-head results, Georgia Tech looks like a "lock".

So what might be different this time around?

Not much.  Both teams enjoyed comeback wins in their openers.  Both teams appear very deep.

"The ACC is a tough conference," Georgia Tech running back Jonathan Dwyer said. "I don't know why everybody is putting us down. I think the Florida State-Miami game and the Clemson-Georgia Tech game showed how good the ACC really is."

There are plenty of similarities between the two teams as well.

Miami is now in the same position it was entering last season's game against Georgia Tech. The Hurricanes jumped into the poll immediately before playing the Yellow Jackets and trailed by as much as 31 in their 41-23 loss in Atlanta. The defeat kept the Hurricanes out of the ACC championship game.

"It won't even faze this team," Miami coach Randy Shannon said. "The only thing they want to do is win and get the ranking at the end of the season. The only thing this team is worried about is taking care of the things it has to get done. This team is different, remember."

Some more important Georgia Tech vs. Miami betting odds trends to consider:

The Yellow Jackets are 6-1 ATS in their last 7 road games.

The Yellow Jackets are 8-2 ATS in their last 10 games as a road underdog of 3.5-10.0.

Georgia Tech is 15-6-1 ATS in their last 22 games following a ATS loss.

The Hurricanes are 6-13-1 ATS in their last 20 games following a S.U. win.

The Hurricanes are 8-23 ATS in their last 31 games following a ATS win.

The Hurricanes are 10-31-1 ATS in their last 42 games as a home favorite.

The Hurricanes are 3-12 ATS in their last 15 games after accumulating less than 100 yards rushing in their previous game.

Miami is 3-13 ATS in their last 16 games following a bye week.

The Hurricanes are 3-14 ATS in their last 17 games after accumulating more than 280 yards passing in their previous game.

Miami is 1-6 ATS in their last 7 home games vs. a team with a winning road record.

The Hurricanes are 1-10 ATS in their last 11 games as a favorite of 3.5-10.0.

Hey we love our Miami Hurricanes, but this one is just too good to pass up.  Georgia Tech as the +4 ½ underdog - Gambling911.com is taking this pick and running with it!

J.J. McCarthy Drafted Number 3 Odds to Patriots

To be clear, the Michigan quarterback J.J. McCarthy is pretty certain to land in Minnesota.  But what if the New England Patriots shock us and pick McCarthy at Number 3 before the Vikings get their opportunity at No. 5?
